Channel Changes
Our contract with AMC Networks has expired, and after thoughtful review, we have decided to not renew our agreement with AMC Networks. This change will take effect on June 1, 2025.
Q: What networks were removed from my lineup?
A: The AMC networks that were removed from my lineup include AMC, BBC America, BBC News, IFC, SundanceTV and WE TV.
Q: Where else can I watch programming from these networks?
A: You can still access AMC Networks programming via their streaming service AMC+ ($6.99/mo.)
Q: When will these networks be back on the air?
A: We no longer carry AMC Networks. Despite our efforts, we were unable to come to a fair agreement for the distribution of their networks, and after careful consideration, we removed them from our channel lineup.
Q: Why was AMC Networks removed from my lineup?
A: AMC Networks own the channels we provide, and to carry them, we must negotiate distribution rights. Our contract with AMC Networks expired on April 30, 2025.
We work to negotiate these distribution rights with the best interest of our customers in mind, and unfortunately, we were not able to renew an agreement with AMC Networks that offers our customers good value for the cost. In recent years, the entertainment value of AMC Networks has declined, but the costs have not followed suit. The value proposition is no longer there, and we believe our customers deserve the best value in TV. After careful consideration, we no longer carry AMC Networks.
Q: Why don’t you just pay what they are asking?
A: We’re committed to offering content that our customers truly value. AMC Networks has shifted away from exclusive programming and toward making content available on multiple streaming platforms, including AMC+. Our programming decisions are based on what our customers watch and want. AMC Networks’ decline in value and viewership were key factors in our decision not to continue our agreement.
