This summer, football fans and local families have something to look forward to! The Italian Bowl, Italy’s championship game for American football, is returning to Toledo for the second time. After its first U.S. appearance at the University of Toledo’s Glass Bowl Stadium in 2023, the game is coming back, and Buckeye Broadband is helping customers get in on the action.

What Is the Italian Bowl?
The Italian Bowl is the championship game for the Italian Football League (IFL), which brings American-style football to teams across Italy. Even though soccer is the country's most popular sport, American football has grown steadily and built a passionate following.

When and Where Is It Happening?
The Italian Bowl kicks off on June 28, 2025, at Glass Bowl Stadium in Toledo, Ohio.
In addition to the football action, there will be plenty of food options from local food trucks, fun zones for kids, and even a visit from SpongeBob SquarePants, making it a great event for the whole family. - Check your inbox for an email titled "[Customer Appreciation] 🏈 Free Italian Bowl Tickets"
- Open the email and follow the link to register
- Sign into myBuckeye Rewards
- Reserve your tickets before 6/20 and you’re all set to attend. A University of Toledo email will send you your tickets on a date closer to the event.
